A Complete Listing of all the Drive-in Movie Theaters Still Operating in America.
Here are all the operational drive-ins in the country. There may be a few on here that have closed. This took a lot of research, but I think everyone should support their local drive-in. There are 5 states that I cannot confirm having any drive-ins: Delaware, Hawaii, Alaska, Louisiana, and North Dakota. If you know of any drive-ins in those states, let me know. If any of the ones I listed have closed, let me know. Otherwise, go to the drive-in this summer, or if they are open now, go now. Go right now.
I’m always hearing how theaters are too expensive, and here is the way you can deal with that. Drive-ins are cheap. Some still charge per carload, and if they don’t, their concessions are still much cheaper than a multiplex..

My first memory of ever seeing any movie is watching the movie The Boogey Man (1980). I was terrified, but I didn’t blame it on the drive in, and have gone almost of year of my life. You should go too.

Even more so because there's one in my town!
One thing you may want to consider is how many of these are actual drive-in movie theaters. I live in Austin, and the three you list near me, the two Blue Starlites and the Globe, aren't drive-ins in the classic sense. They are spots where someone sets up a screen and people pull up and watch, and it costs about $100 for 4 people in one car to visit. I suspect most of the businesses here claiming to be drive-ins are similar. There are precious few real drive-in movie theaters left.
